These include working in service and care industries, working in places that serve alcohol, and working in jobs that require frequent interaction with the public. However, no worker is completely safe from the risk of violence occurring while the worker is on the job, traveling for work, or on their employer\u2019s premises.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workers\u2019 Compensation and Workplace Violence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Workers\u2019 compensation generally provides benefits for employees who suffer work-related injuries. In the case of many on-the-job accidents, proving the connection between your work and your injury is straightforward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.steinberglawfirm.com\/blog\/do-workplace-violence-injuries-qualify-for-workers-compensation-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Workers\u2019 compensation claims based on another\u2019s violence<\/a> can be more challenging. To receive workers\u2019 compensation benefits, you must show that your injuries were related to work. It does not cover independent contractors or gig workers.
