Announcing A Pro Bono Wills Clinic For Veterans

The many brave men and women who gave the last full measure of their devotion to our country are always in our hearts and minds. The Steinberg Law Firm extends our deepest condolences to the families who have lost brave military members in service to our grateful nation. Though a mere token of the debt we all owe, we hope our pro bono — free — wills clinic for veterans may provide some measure of practical help and comfort to veterans and their families.

Unprotected

Too many times in our work with the Tricounty Veterans Support Network, our firm has seen vulnerable veterans without wills or protective documents of any kind. This concern led us to offer our pro bono wills clinic for veterans.

Our attorneys are experienced in listening to our clients’ wishes, drawing up wills to protect the estates of clients, and even establishing healthcare powers of attorney.

Typically these services carry legal fees. On Tuesday, June 12, attorneys Michael Jordan and Ben Akery will proudly offer these legal services free of charge to veterans in our area.

Protecting the Protectors

Over the course of our many years in service to our community, we have seen far too many veterans underserved, unprotected, and in need of our help.

Steinberg Law Firm is more than happy to protect the protectors of our freedoms, and this wills clinic is one of the many ways we can give back to our neighbors, our veterans, and our veterans’ families.

Available Services

A will preserves your rights to have your last wishes honored by securing your estate and passing it as you desire to your inheritors. Without the legal strength of a will, your estate may not transfer to your loved ones the way you intend.

A healthcare power of attorney allows you to appoint someone to help make decisions about your healthcare, should you become incapacitated and unable to communicate your wishes.

A living will in South Carolina allows you to choose your natural end to your life with dignity. It legally declares your wish to not endure extraordinary life-sustaining procedures.

These legal instruments are available free of charge to local veterans at the Steinberg Law Firm’s June 12th wills clinic. Please contact Yani Smith at [email protected], or stop by our law offices at 118 S. Goose Creek Blvd. Goose Creek, SC 29445, to add your name to the sign-up sheet.
