The Steinberg Law Firm Welcomes New Attorney Annie Andrews

In recent news, the Steinberg Law Firm brought on Annie Andrews to assist the firm’s already strong team of personal injury advocates in the firm’s Goose Creek office. Andrews joins the Steinberg Law Firm after spending the last seven years working as a trial attorney in the Charleston County Public Defender’s office.

While with the Public Defender’s represented over 1,000 indigent defendants in all types of criminal matters, including numerous cases in front of a jury. Before joining the Public Defender’s Office, Andrews worked with the Richland County Public Defender’s office, where she served as a voice for those who may not have otherwise been able to stand up for themselves. The Steinberg Law Firm is eager to add Andrews’ advanced litigation skills to its already knowledgeable and experienced team of South Carolina personal injury lawyers.

Andrews has enjoyed a successful legal career, starting when she was still in law school. Not only was Annie a member of the prestigious Dean’s List while at Charleston School of Law, but she also participated in Moot Court and served as a research assistant and reference librarian at the Sol Blatt Jr. Law Library. After graduating, Andrews received the Star of the Quarter award of the SC Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and was the sole recipient of the 2019 Juvenile Defender of the Year in South Carolina award. Additionally, in 2019, Annie graduated from the South Carolina Bar’s Leadership Academy, a selective program designed to train the next generation of attorneys and community leaders.

Andrews is not just an exceptional litigator, as she is a model of the dedication and care for her community that exemplifies the Steinberg Law Firm. When asked why she wanted to become a lawyer, she explains, “I went to law school to make a difference in the community by aggressively fighting for individuals’ rights, one case at a time. I want to be a voice and advocate for people when they’re navigating through the most stressful situations in their lives.” While in law school, Annie selflessly completed over 500 hours of pro bono service at various local organizations, including helping the homeless population through her work with a legal clinic at a local shelter, One80 Place.

In her new role at the firm, Andrews will continue to help those through some of the most stressful times of their life, handling a wide range of personal injury claim, including medical malpractice cases, car accidents, product liability claims, and cases involving nursing home neglect or abuse.
