Steinberg Law firm is committed to our involvement in our local Hispanic community and we are proud to announce the firm as the founding sponsor of The Multicultural Center Art Pot (MuCeAP).

While the Steinberg Law Firm is best known for protecting the rights of injured people, we also take pride in our service to the Charleston community. For 95 years, we’ve made it our mission to give back to local organizations across the lowcountry who are dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Art Pot is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is expanding to a permanent home in Hanahan, South Carolina. The new Art Pot Multicultural Center (MuCeAP) will not only serve as the center of planned artistic activities, but will also be the headquarters for many multicultural community services serving all local communities but primarily aimed to-ward empowerment and integration of the Latino community.

Since 2013, the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Hispanic & Latino community has been slowly creating a new image through the arts.  First, Mag Art Studio led the way, bringing creative arts experiences to children and adults in North Charleston through free workshops and shows.  For over a year these programs have been consolidated into a new non-profit organization.  Art Pot educates and integrates local Latino communities comprised of people from twenty-one different countries and therefore twenty-one different cultures.  Using oral, physical, and visual artistic activities across the different artistic disciplines, Latinos will also integrate into its activities, communities outside the Latino population.

The ArtPot Multicultural Center will be the first permanent physical space in South Carolina where community, art, education and social services come together.  Participants in Art Pot activities will collaborate with other institutions and pursue integration with them.  The Center will be staffed by artists, professionals and community members, and structured activities will be led by master artists, teachers, counselors, and volunteers.
