Bill to Increase Penalties for Driving without a License, Causing Injury

When drivers are told that they should not be driving, but do so anyway and injure or kill other people because of it, they owe a debt to society. A new bill is trying to increase that debt.

This new bill would increase the penalty for killing someone while driving without a license to up to 20 years in prison. This might give the families of victims some sort of comfort, knowing that their loved ones' killers are not out on the streets.

If you or someone you know has been injured by a driver without a license, contact the Charleston personal injury attorneys of The Steinberg Law Firm at 843-720-2800.
