About The Steinberg Community Fund Program

While the Steinberg Law Firm is best known for protecting the rights of injured people, we also take pride in our service to the Charleston community. For over 95 years, we’ve made it our mission to give back to local organizations across the lowcountry who are also dedicated to improving the lives of others.

In case you’ve missed out on our recent news, the Steinberg Law Firm has already begun making donations in the amount of approximately $15,000 to many 501(c)(3) organizations this fall.

The program is special because it is exclusively led by the firm’s staff. The entire team is thrilled to have a program that allows complete contribution to the organizations that are most important to them.

The Steinberg Community Foundation uses the program as a vehicle to implement its mission of giving back to local nonprofit organizations that align with our support towards: children literacy, adult education services, healthcare, employment, public safety, and educating the public about their rights.

SLF Community Fund LogoThe community fund accepts applications throughout the year. Such applications are accepted by June 15th, and decisions are made in the late summer or fall of each year. The grants range in amount from $200 to $2,500.

The community fund accepts applications from non-profits that are:

  • Located within the local community
  • Are recognized by the IRS as a public charity that is exempt from income tax as a 501(c)(3) public charity
  • Are not a political or lobbying organization
