South Carolina Woman Critically Injured in I-26 Car Accident
A South Carolina woman is in critical condition following a serious car wreck on Interstate 26 Saturday evening.
According to Corporal Bryan McDougald of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the eastbound lane of Interstate 26 near mile marker 24 in Spartanburg County. McDougald says 40 year-old Laura Lee Seasock was traveling eastbound in her Kia Sport Utility Vehicle when she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the right side of the roadway. The SUV rolled over several times.
Authorities say Seasock was transported by ambulance to Spartanburg Regional Hospital after the crash. She is listed in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation. The interstate was closed for a couple of hours Saturday night while response crews cleaned up after the accident.
After a serious car accident, claiming benefits from your insurance policy – or the other driver’s insurance policy – is often extremely difficult. Insurance companies do not want to hand over their money, even when they are obligated to under the law. Without an experienced Charleston auto accident lawyer on your side, you may not receive all the benefits that you deserve.
