Steinberg Law Wishes a Healthy and Enjoyable Retirement to Long-Time Friend and Dedicated Advocate, J. Kevin Holmes

The Steinberg Law Firm has always been unceasingly dedicated to the wellbeing of its clients. While every attorney at the firm carries this mission forward in every case they handle, Attorney J. Kevin Holmes truly embodied what it means to be a well-rounded advocate, both on behalf of his clients and his community.

Recently, Attorney Holmes announced his retirement. While his departure saddens the Steinberg Law Firm, we want to bid him well on the next step in his life journey, knowing that his legacy will continue to grow through those he had an impact on.

J. Kevin Holmes, a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, practiced law for more than 42 years. Over this time, he largely served in roles that allowed him to hone his exceptional litigation skills, including civil and criminal trials. Over the course of his five-decade legal career, Attorney Holmes learned what it meant to represent his clients truly. He focused not only on getting his injured clients the compensation they need to move on with their lives but also helped them in every way he could throughout the process. Whether it be advising clients on where to get the best medical treatment, answering late-night phone calls from clients, or sitting down with clients to explain the complex system in understandable terms, J. Kevin Holmes handled it all with grace and ease.

Attorney Holmes joined the Steinberg Law Firm in 1979 and has been a motivating force at the firm ever since. He was drawn to the Steinberg Law Firm because of his respect for the firm’s founder, Irving Steinberg. Holmes recognized the importance of Irving Steinberg’s mission and was eager to get aboard. Since then, he never looked back, helping thousands of clients overcome their physical and emotional injuries and get on the road to recovery.

Thanks to his exceptional work, Holmes earned membership in the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates. He is also a widely respected member of the bar of the State of South Carolina, United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, and United States Supreme Court.

Holmes is married and has five children, whom he hopes to spend as much time with as possible during his retirement. On behalf of everyone at the Steinberg Law Firm, and the thousands of people he helped, we want to thank J. Kevin Holmes and wish him well in retirement.
