Announcing the Steinberg Law Firm 2020 Scholarship

Once again, the Steinberg Law Firm is excited to announce the 2020 Steinberg Law Firm Scholarship. Graduating South Carolina high school seniors from are encouraged to submit an entry into the competition.

Five seniors will have the chance to receive a $1,000 scholarship by submitting a creative essay. Beginning on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, students will be able to submit their entries. The deadline to submit is on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Winners will be chosen based on special honors and awards, community involvement, school activities, and, most importantly, their essay submission. This year, students are required to write a minimum 700-word essay on: “What does moral leadership mean to you, and what are your personal goals regarding being a moral leader within your community?”

The five winners will be announced on Friday, June 12th. The Steinberg Law Firm will award five graduating seniors who are planning on attending a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall with a $1,000 scholarship.

Applicants are required to be a South Carolina resident and submit the following materials together with their 2020 application form:

  • A 700-word essay that explains what moral leadership means to you, and what are your personal goals regarding being a moral leader within your community?
  • Current high school transcript
  • List of school activities, community involvement, special awards and honors

Each of the five students chosen for the Steinberg 2020 Scholarship will use the scholarship money to advance their planned college studies. These scholarships are awarded to students going to pursue any field of higher education, not just the law.

The Steinberg Law Firm is deeply committed to giving back to our community in any way we can. We also provide textbook scholarships, recognize high school student-athletes and donate free backpacks filled with school supplies.
